I was glad their antics eventually toned down.įreddie, Andie, and the Olympic background are what appealed to me the most. Their actions are so annoyingly over the top that they detracted from my enjoyment of the story initially. Andie’s two best friends and teammates, however, seem like caricatures in the beginning. The main conflict could have been easily nipped in the bud, but I was in the mood for a fun means of escape so I let it slide. As obstacles begin to pile up, I couldn’t help but root for these two likeable characters. The chemistry between Andie and Freddie is undeniable, even though his availability status is questionable. (Think Michael Phelps, only a thousand times hotter.) Enter Freddie Archibald, a British three-time Olympian and superstar swimmer who’s going for a medal-winning record. Now that Andie has finally made it to Rio, she’s determined to let loose and fully enjoy her first Olympic experience-including hooking up with a hot athlete. She’s been all work and no play while training for the games. Grey is a new-to-me author, but when I heard she was writing a Rom-Com that takes place during the Summer Olympic Games I was sold.Īndie Foster is an American soccer player and Olympic rookie on the cusp of greatness. I’m a huge fan and find myself glued to the TV for three weeks every four years.
